Hi,

I am going to start a CFD training center in India. So please recommend me some good hardware configuration or good workstation to work with Openfoam and Ansys products. Also please suggest me the right linux OS for this.

Impossible without a budget and some scope of application. There are a lot of suitable hardware configurations between 600$ and 20000$.

Currently I am planning to buy 5 systems under the total budget of 5k USD (340000 INR) price range. I prefer to buy it from India. So that I can easily avail the warranty and other service requirements. Thanks

Unfortunately, I neither know the price level in India nor do I know any retailers there.
But for 1000$ total you are probably looking at a configuration similar to this
CPU: Intel I3-8100 ~110$
Motherboard: Intel Z370 ~110$
RAM: 2x8GB DDR4-2666 ~160$
GPU: GTX 1050TI 4gb ~160$
Case ~50$
Decent 80+ silver power supply with at least 400W: ~50€
SSD: 250GB ~90$
HDD: 2TB ~60$
Monitor and peripherals ~200$

Buying from a reputable brand that provides service you will probably have to make some compromise on the hardware? Again, I don't know the price level. I would start with the graphics card, e.g using a GTX 1050 instead or even the CPU integrated graphics.

I would recommend one of the Linux versions that Ansys officially supports: Red Hat, SUSE or CentOS. Installation is much easier on these platforms and you can actually call them if something does not work as expected.

First of all sorry for late reply. I searched this spec in Amazon India and its price is as follows
CPU: Intel I3-8100 - INR 10246 (150 USD)
Motherboard: Intel Z370 - INR 19799 (290 USD)
RAM: 2x8GB DDR4-2666 – INR 6015 (88 USD)
GPU: GTX 1050TI 4gb – INR 11798 (173 USD)
Case – INR 2880 (42)
Decent 80+ silver power supply with at least 400W: INR 6381 (93 USD)

SSD: 1 TB – INR 3500 (51 USD)
HDD: 2TB – INR 5558 (81 USD)
Monitor and peripherals INR 6200 (91 USD)

Total : INR 72377 (1064 USD)

Thank you Alex !!

That can't be an SSD. They cost at least 250$.
I would recommend one with around 250 GB to fit it into the budget.

Z370 boards come in a wide variety of prices. I would strongly recommend one that is in the lower 100$ price range for this budget build. Rule of thumb for most builds: If the motherboard is more expensive than the CPU, you are doing it wrong.
