Kukka is on a distinguished road
Hi!

I have a small budget to build up a new workstation. I shall be performing CFD simulations for single-phase as well as multi-phase problems, mainly using Fluent and CCM+. I am also planning to start working on openfoam.

I have thought of the following configurations:

AMD EPYC 7402P processsor
8GB x 8 (=64 GB) RAM
Graphics Card: QUADRO RTX4000 GPU
2TB SSD (Primary) + 6TB HDD

There are few questions that I still need to clear:
1. Which motherboard shall I go with this configuration?
2. Is there any difference in performance if I use EPYC 7402P than if I use a single EPYC 7402?

I shall be using Windows OS (Windows 10 Pro)

This hardware cost suits my budget. Is this configuration fine? Maximum number of cell counts would range from 2 millions to 8 million cells.

I look forward to your (experts) opinion.

Thanks in advance!!!
