Computing power

Hello,
So I got a mediocre computer from my university to do simulations for my master thesis. Since I have a pretty beefy computer at home, I wanted to ask if it is possible to use some of my computing power at home to speed up the calculations and meshing?

What software will you be using? I can imagine some academic licenses may be restricted in which computers they may be installed on. At the end of the day you will have to ask someone who's in charge of this at your university anyway. Or what exactly are you asking about?

I have some computers in a storage unit that I can turn on and run programs on. I am connecting by ssh or vncviewer. Using zerotier-one private network to access them. Just create your network and add your work and home computers to it (after installing zerotier). This works for windows and linux computers and android phones. Probably also for apple products, but I maintain a strictly apple free life.
