looking for high performance CPU in doing modeling by CFD FLUENT

I am looking for a high performance CPU for doing modeling by CFD FLUENT. Unfortunately I do not know how to choose a suitable CPU in order to let my project being done smoothly. Can anyone please tell me the specification or requirement of the best CPU in order to do my project well.

Thanks.

how about i7 with x58? What do you think?

The price difference between Xeon and i7 is there for a reason off course.
Xeon are dedicated CPU's for heavy workload.

But if you don't have the money, i7 is for sure a good alternative.
Just make sure that you don't ruin your CPU speed with slow memory or slow hard drives. I/O is 30 percent of your speed

It helps me a lot.
Thanks.

If you are really interested in HPC, you can choose work in a supercomputacional center.......... it's about 0,15-0,25€/Hr*CPU

Absolute best would be an Epyc 7573X, although you might not need that much horsepower. Best bang for the buck is likely epyc rome/naples 32/24 cores. just remember to populate all mamory channels and max their speed out.
