Dream CFD workstation ? Just cooling limitation !

Hello,

Assuming that there is no budget limit, what would be the best configuration for a CFD workstation to run CFX (and possibly OpenFOAM) ?

Lets say, cooling is a limitation. I mean that the workstation should be able to keep itself cool in a room at ambient temperature of 25°C.

I would like to hear the debate -
i7 vs Xeon
AMD vs Intel
etc...

Thanks in advance.

Thanks
That looks interesting.

I had one more question- If it were a single core world (what I really mean is a single CFX licence) what would be the best thing out there ?

i7 or Xeon or something from AMD ?

I like the looks of Cray's CX1-iWS, especially given the limitation you have on cooling. It uses Xeon processors..

As of now I might be settling for a Dell T7500 with Intel Xeon X5680 (almost similar to i7-980x). Price ranges from €5000 to €10,000 depending on what one puts in the box.
