Amd Phenom II x6 1090T vs Intel i7-920/930/950

Need to buy new computer for the school lab through HP. What would you recommend as a processor for running Fluent simulations.?

I have a Phenom II x6 1055T already and it runs through sims pretty fast. No experience with the Intel chips though and they cost a bit more money.

Thanks,
Ryan

depends a bit on the cash to spend.
Xeon 5670 is seriously fast, so i can assume other intel products are equally good.

If your really short on money, then AMD is certainly a good choice
