Looking for some good meshing literature and tutorials

Hi, I am new here. I am looking to develop my meshing skills. Would love your suggestions on where to start, Literature, tutorials and what software to use. Also need to know if ansys workbench built in mesher is good enough?

Much appreciate if you can direct me to a older thread.

If it was me, I would just go straight to Pointwise and not waste my time on anything else.
