What should I do next?

Hi, everyone

I'm in my final year for my bachelor degree in aeronautical engineering and just doing my final thesis. Unfortunately in my country, there are not a lot of jobs requiring CFD in the projects. I already dived to deep in my opinion on CFD and I want to strengthen my future position as the "CFD man" if that's an applicable terms :D.

I tried to freelance on fiverr, so far it's doesn't do to well as no one seems intrested :(. I want to improve my portfolios as well as my skill in CFD in general. Does anyone have a suggestion as for what case should I be doing to improve those?

I've experienced in CFX, Fluent, and ICEM (ICEM probably the most of it). Doing steady state simulation of subsonic wing, subsonic UAV, Transonic Wing, and supersonic Intake ramp (This one doesn't particularly end well :D). ICEM mostly making fully structured hexahedral and I don't think this is very needed in the industry? do correct me if I'm wrong.

Best regards
Lucky

Hi, I have the same problem as you.

I'm a chemical engineering graduate student and I've been studying cfd for about a year and a half. I've done several cases in OpenFoam and until today there isn't a day that I stop studying cfd. However, I could be wrong, but it seems that in my country (Brazil) there are not many jobs in the cfd area for those starting out. I'm thinking cfd is for someone with a phd or with many years of experience.

My journey in cfd so far has been alone, it would be interesting to know if other people started like me (and were successful in the area).
