Hi all,
I'm working with gambit in order to create 2D geometries. I saw that there is the option to convert virtual edges to real ones but, is it possible to convert a real edge to a virtual one? if it can be done, please tell me the way/path to execute. Thanks |

I have some experiences with gambit. The convert operation might be a little tricky. I tried it only once and the things with the mesh started go wrong. The fact is that when you start gambit you can't hesitate whether to perform any conversion or block partitionig. You have to do as less operation as are inevitable, save the mesh and go away. A lot of too complicated operations gives rise of some clutter in gambit database and the mesher behaves upredictably even with simple operation. The bes way of utilizing gambit is to prepare geometry (perform block partitioning) in some CAD, quickly spill some cells over domain in gambit. If you save the mesh your solver can swallow you win. The gambit is aimed to produce something (some mesh) not the a good mesh.
sincerely, good luck! |
