In potential flow theory we assume that flow is irrotational. And according to Kelvin's Theorem, if circulation is zero, the vorticity is also zero. But for 2 D vortex flow, circulation is non zero... That means vorticity is also not zero... Does this not violate potential flow assumption of irrotationality?
