RIPPLE symmetric positive definite matrix

Default RIPPLE symmetric positive definite matrix

I am wondering why the matrix, M, appears in the Pressure Poisson Equation, i.e. M*p=S, of the RIPPLE (Kothe et al.) is symmetric matrix.
