NEUMANN Boundary

Hello, does anybody know what the sence of the Neumann boundary is??? Does it make a 3D flow to 2D??? How can i Can implement it in the momentum equation??? Than you!!!!

Re: NEUMANN Boundary

A Neumann boundary condition is simply a condition on the derivative of the variable rather than on the variable itself at the boundary.

Hi

Yes, its just a boundary condition for differential equation. A boundary condition applied at the first derivative of the function rather than the function itself as in case of Dirchilet Condition. However, in case of Hyperbolic Conservation Laws it has a different role to play. There it's quite different and called Neumann Condition.
