I need advice
 

I am a student of last year of Craft Engines on Rzeszow University of Technology and I am interested in compressor design and optimization. As a topic of my final project I choose optimization (or design) of a axial compressor or a single stage (depend from software that I will find) . In my work I want to optimize a old (but still in production) axial compressor to one of polish gas turbine engine. With my supervisor we decided that it would be good to find a "open source" or "for non commercial use" program and use it to this project. I am interested in 2-D compressible flow solver, that can be used on PC platform. I would be very grateful for any info and advices where I can get it and which would be best to use.
