signicance of vortices -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Farjana Guest Posts: n/a	Why study vortices ? A lot of CFD related websites contain lots of visualization of vortices. But I don't understand the physical significance of those vortex study. Would someone explain the significance of studying vortex in Fluid Dynamics. Thanks in advance
