hi

can anyone tell me how to create structured meshing in symmetric 3D pipe in gambit.

Re: structured meshing

If your problem is a straight 3D pipe, usually I would divide the pipe surfaces into 6 regions first. 2 are the inlet and outlet; 4 are the pipe itself, so the inlet/outlet plane is divided on its quadrant. Then create volume from the 6 surfaces. Mesh the edges in even number. Mesh the 4 pipe divided faces using mapping scheme, mesh the volume using cooper scheme. The inlet/outlet face will be meshed automatically. I hope this would help.
