I'm modelling flow round an aligator - does anyone know where I could get surface roughness values from (from previous work on buildings I know there are various equations for farmland, roughland, trees of certain height ranges etc). Googling has thrown nothing up. Would a reasonable assumption be the roughness of leather?

Instead of using google try using scholar.google.com it will give you reference in journals.
