Are the quations solved in FDM or FVM ?

maybe a stupid question from newbie.

A code solves Euler equation in curvilinear coordinates with Roe's approximate riemann solver. How can I judge it's solved in Finite Difference Method or Finite Volume Method? I mean are there any special manipulation in the procedure which I can find in source code to verify the method?

Curvilinear coordinates are used together with FVM rarely and FDM frequently, right?
