Exporting a mesh to Elmer CFD

Hi, everybody.

I have a problem trying to export a mesh 2D from NGSolve to Elmer (CFD software).
At the beginning I tried to open the geometry (step file) with Elmer to generate the mesh. However, it has problems to import 2D geometries and the mesh is generated with defects. Then, I tried with Ngsolve which could open the stp file and generate a good mesh, but now I can't export the file to one format to work with Elmer. Ngsolve doesn't export to Elmer format. I tried to export with the inp format of Abaqus, but the software crush.
I tried to export into a msh format but Elmer fail to open it.
Some suggestion?

I going to ask in a different way.
Wish program do I need to made a 2D mesh to run in a CFD software?

Have you tried gmsh ?

If you have access to ANSYS (at least older versions running APDL), there are Elmer Macros to directly export the mesh to ELMER.

Thanks. Finally, I make the geometry in iges format, then I export the mesh in msh format from NGSolve and with Elmer I can open it without problem.
