Calculation of the lift\drag coefficient

Hello my friends here,
I have just finished a code on catching the shock around a blunt body with the method of Finite Difference Method (FDM). I have all primitive variables available. My question is : How to calculate the lift\drag and then the corresponding coefficient? I am thinking on calculate the force node by node and then sum them up, but I don't know to what accuracy this method will work.The envolvement of the metrics may aggravate the accuracy.
