Far Field flow Prediction

Hi

I would like to know the flow field prediction on the water surface. The case is modelling the flow field around an underwater explosion and how the pressure and velocity propagate up to the water surface. As the water depth is around 20 to 30 m, thus I would like to split up the computational domain if possible. If there a method to model the flow field from let say 30 m to 20m, then 20m to the water surface? Or is there any empircal correlation to extraploate the flow field from 30m depth to water surface? Thanks

This is an active research field, usually termed non-reflecting BC, absorbing BC, radiation BC, perfectly matched layer and other names. Google for Dan Givoli et al papers in the last 2-3 years and follow their references.
