Question about DNS

Hi

Since DNS also cut off some modes, I'm wondering if DNS doesn't have any numerical error? Does it really bring perfect accurate simulation result? Is DNS also a turbulence modeling?

Best,
lnk

in DNS the Nyquist frequency pi/h, which formally cut the higher modes, is located in such a way that the Kolmogorov characteristic wavenumber pi/eta is smaller. In other words, the numerical errors in DNS, even if formally present, do not affect any component of the flow
