Default Overset (Chimera) for moving bodies?

Hi,

does anyone know if there is a (commercial) CFD-code that supports overset grids (Chimera method) for moving bodies?

I have the impression that CFD-ACE+ (CFD-Fastran) can do Chimera but not for moving bodies. Is that your experience, too?

I appreciate any hints.

Thanks in advance, Alan

Supposedly GASP has the capability.

Thanks Luca ... CFD++ looks good! Do you have any experience with it? Can it do simulations of moving bodies in contact? E.g.: a ball rolling down a wall and eventually separating from the wall?

Thanks again, Alan

Thanks to you too, ag. GASP looks good, too. However, it supports only structured grids. I would prefer a solver that can deal with unstructured grids, too.

Thanks again, Alan

yes I think...I thought you needed to simulate an helicopter rotor or a store separation problem. Anyway I think you can use chimera for your problem. Luca

CFD-Fastran can do Chimera with moving bodies, but I think wall contact is a problem.
