Introduction to Programming a Decent CFD program

I have some experience with higher level programming than say C and am looking for a good method for calculating fluid dynamics visually two dimensionally. I've been thinking cellular automata like HPP but all the particle rules I've seen for this method seem to forget certain cases. Anyone willing to guide me to a relatively easy method for a hobby programmer?

Hi Greg,

the lattice BGK method - which originates from cellular automata - may be exactly what you are looking for. See, for example, http://www.paper.edu.cn/project/hust9/hust9-08.pdf

Kind regards
