For a fine mesh (say y plus less than 3) a simulation was performed using standard wall function in two equation model for some iterations say 1500 and after that the wall function was removed and the run was carried out for another 1500 iterations. Whether the results after 3000 iteration will predicit the near wall behaviour correctly.

Thanks in advance.
