Hi everyone,
Do you know how to numerically implement Werner & Wengle (1991)'s near wall modeling? Thank you. |

should be easy,
Write an Profile UDF for the velocity u as a function of y+, something like : if y+<=11.81 u+=y+; else u+ =8.3*(y+)^(1/7); |

I do not think he is talking about fluent, second if he is talking about fluent, werner-wengle is already available , so he does not need to write UDF.

Thanks to Kharicha and zxaar.
The near wall velocity distributions are described in wall units, I don't know whether I need to determine the friction speed first. I also cannot derive the wall shear stress corresponding to the power law distribution given by Werner & Wengle (1991). I have another question: Is the wall shear stress used as approximate boundary conditions like Numann type? |
