Do you happen to know ref books or papers which have formula to express stress in general curivilinear coordinates if each component of stress (totally 9) is given in Cardician coordinates?

Thanks for your info.

Check www.mathworld.com . They give you the divergence and curl operator in generalised coordinates. You can write out the equations from that. Also the book of anderson and pletcher have the equations in curvilinear coordinates.the book oh Shih has the equations in curvilinear coordinates for moving grids.
