Hello all,

I have a question about the flowRateInletVelocity BC. I read that it can either prescribe a volume or mass flow rate depending on the dimensions of phi.

Where are the dimensions of phi defined? I am using the rhoPimpleFoam solver and wish to define a ramped inlet mass flow rate.

Can I use the following? Is the flowRate a mass flow rate because rhoPimpleFoam is a compressible solver?

INLET
{
type flowRateInletVelocity;//uniformFixedValue;
flowRate table
(
(0 0.054)
(0.1 5.4)
(3 5.4)
);

value uniform (0 0 0);
}

Thanks
