How to create solid region for chtMultiregionFoam

Hi everyone!
I am try to simulating a turbulence and heat transfer problem with chtMultiregionFoam. But I have a problem. How to split mesh volume by two parts - solid and liquid? I know that, MakeCellsets.setSet file in tutorial case create it by boxes. But in my simulation geometry is not consist of parallelepiped only.

Thank you very much!
regards!

what do you use for meshing? if you use sHM you can specify the region using an arbitrary stl file

Hi, I am also confused how to split the region if my region is irregular. May I ask what is SHM? I am a beginner, and my question may seem stupid. I meshed my geometry in ICEM, and saved it as a fluent mesh, now I have converted it in openfoam, but I don't know how to split the region, could you please give me a hand? Thanks!

sHM = SnappyHexMesh, the OpenFoam default mesher.

take a look at the heat exchange tutorial to see how to get multiple zones
