Default A decent approx factorization ref?

Hello Folks, I'm quite new to this CFD lark and have recently been reading some references that detail an "Approximate Factorization" method to solve transonic flows. I don't really know much about AF methods and was wondering whether someone could point me in the direction of an introductory level textbook that covers the fundamentals of these methods.

Many thanks, Frank
