Hi,

I'm solving the complete N-S eqns in cylindrical coordinates. However, when I wanted to calculate the CFL number for the same, all references only explained it in one dimension or for Cartesian coordinates.

How do I calculate the CFL number for N-S eqns in cylindrical coordinates?

CFL number in cylindrical system is as same as in cartesian coordinates.
Problem in cylindrical system is the cells near the axis are too small to calculate larger domain with regular mesh system.

I wrote a two phase model in cylindrical coordinates, and it is impossible to convergence very well.

good luck!
