k-e boundary conditions

Hi friends

I am working on a FVM code using k-e turbulence model for a simple channel flow

I have some confusion over the application of Boundary conditions for k and epsilon

and also after first complete iteration for one timestep how to use extract the fluctuating components of the velocities and how to use them for next timestep itertions

i am in urgent need please help me friends

thank you friends for help

bye Ravi Kiran

Re: k-e boundary conditions

Which aplication u r using, For ur kind I would like to give the following, for k-e model you can give K=(u**2+v**2+w**2)/0.5 as one and you can give L=0.3*H as another boundary condition. These were rough calculations, if u have any experimental values its better.

Re: k-e boundary conditions

Thank you shashi

I am trying to simulate Bounday Layer on a pate with k-e model and a channel flow with k-e model

so the above two i know

how to specify k at wall, just above wall in the FVM code which i am trying to develop

and also how to estimate the fluctuating components of velocities from k

how to use these fluctuating components for next iterations

if u or any one could explain thank you i am in vey urgent need of this data

ok bye Ravi Kiran
