dear all

i need some help badly regarding using fluent to natural convection. i had a hard time determing what values should i use for density, specific heat, thermal conductivity, viscosity, absorption coefficient, thermal expansion coefficient and gravity. i try to find suitable journal but cannot find one which is suitable. can anyone please kindly help me because i really need help badly. kindly email me at samsungboy33@yahoo.com.sg

Hi,

Me too had similiar doubts previously.Then are many webs available here relating to the subject.Just go thru it.I had gone thru a book of John D. Cutnell,Kenneth W. Johnson from http://www.kevacorp.com/FeaturedItems.asp?ItemID=33516.

Hi! adrian

I think you should set your own numerical values that gives the same set of independent dimensionless parameters of your problem. And then, you can evaluate the dependent dimensionless parameters.

The dimensionless relationship of natural convection is Nu = f(Ra,Pr). You must match Ra and Pr and run FLUENT. Then Nu from FLUENT is equal to Nu of your problem.
