How to merge two nodes (hexa and quads) in 2D model

I am trying to learn hybrid meshing but didnt get tutorials for the same so trying on my own but the only problem is I dont know how to merge two different nodes such that to get hybrid mesh. Please help me out guys..

  1. If you wish to get help on this topic, please specify the software you use, and post in the appropriate forum.
  2. ASAIK, hexa is 3D, not 2D
