what is the meaning of the abbreviations PRESTO and PISO, please.

The PISO stands for the Pressure-Implicit with splitting-operations. The PISO is a segregated algorithm used in the pressure velocity coupling for Pressure based solvers. The PISO algorithm has neighbour correction in addition to the skewness correction (as in SIMPLEC algorithm).

The PRESTO stands for PREssure STaggering Options. It uses the continuty balance for the staggered control volume about the face to compute staggered pressure.

I hope you have studied the CFD course if you are using these schemes.
