I am intended to analyze the stability of my computation. Does anyone can tell me the procedure?
Should I first do Von Neumann analysis for Courant number, then to find critial Peclet number? Is there any connection between them? I am really confused. Thanks in advance He |

For a elliptic or parabolic system Von neumann analysis might help. For a hyperbolic system it might be better to do a group velocity analysis along with a von neumann analysis.

My equation is not conventional second-order equation. The diffusion term is fourth-order. I want to find the critial number of Peclet and another dimentional number inclued in diffusion term
Thanks |
