Two Phase flow modeling in commercial softwares

I want to do study on two phase flow application. I want to use CFD softwares as a tool for my research. I want to know which software can model two phase flow most accurately. Is it CFX, Fluent Or starCD? Can you please help me out?

what type of two phase are you talking about? lagrangian, e2p or free surface?

falling film simulation in commercial software

hi, i am interested in falling film simulation, especially the detailed information(velocity) near the free thin film surface. Which software is suitable? Thanks!

If you need sharp interfacial two-phase flow, e.g. free surface flow, VOF (geometrical) method in fluent is fine.

either of the new STAR-CD or STAR-CCM+ versions are better than fluent, the comet vof models are integrated into them and this model is pretty much the best vof model around

Flow-3D has a good VOF model. When I worked with Flow-3D a couple of years ago mr. VOF aka Hirt, was still involved with the company.

ALthough we still dont actually know what type of 2 phase that Sandeep wants so we might be flogging a dead horse!

Two Phase flow modeling in fluent

hi all, i am trying to find resistance of the ship using fluent and two phase model. it is obvious that we have air and water for simulating flow around a ship. i have meshed model of ship with two areas having an interface between them. can any body help me in solving a two phase flow problem by specifying the boundary coditions and the procedure or any help in this matter

Two phase flow

Can someone tell me a good software to use for two phase flow involving combustion.

Air/gas mixture is burnt in a furnace....The flue gases condense in the heat exchangers.....Is there a software that can model both the gaseous and liquid phase? This might help in predicting the impact of latent heat of vaporization on the total heat transfer.

One more question:

I am trying to find pressure drop across heat exchanger using a CFD software. The results are half of the test results? Why this much of error? What might be the factors inducing errors?

Thanks,
