can SPH be used to simulate a gel?

Hi all,
I need to simulate a layer of highly viscous gel that sticks on the surface. The surface has a prescribed motion and deformation. The gel need to adapt to these changes automatically.

I am thinking of using SPH for this formulation. Can anyone throw me any pointers in this direction? I dont seem to find any such demonstration in the literature.

Thanks,
Shyam
