RANS from time average -- How about space average?
As you know Reynolds Averaged NS (RANS) equations come from average over space or aseembling of NS equations.
But, it is anticipated that if average over space is used, the resulting equations will be in the same form of RANS and they can also be a good way to treat turbulnece. Do you happen to know something on this? Thanks for your comments! TT |
Re: RANS from time average -- How about space aver
1) No. RANS is not average on space but on systems 2) Average (or, more exactly, filtering) on space --> LES
