issues about direct simulation monte-carlo
 

dear\ colleagues
i'm academic researcher working on the field of laser-induced plasma i need to simulate my model in order to get theoretical explanation for my problem.

i have started to learn the DSMC procedure using the book "G. A. Bird, Molecular Gas Dynamics and the Direct Simulation of Gas Flows, Claredon, Oxford (1994)" and i can say that fairly i have a good knowledge of physics around this method and also i have a good ideas & skills of programming but i have encountered some issues about.

now, what i'm confused about is that: why the restart file was placing inside the loop to be updated? and why the number of the identifier unit of both restart and output file is the same, the number is 4. one can see the code on this link:
