flow through porous media

so, do i need to draw a sand box to define it as porous media??

I guess you need that. I am not sure what your drawing looks like, but you do need a porous zone. You define that in Fluent.

Question

if i define in porous zone. the zone material will be in fluid..
How i change to solid??

thanks..

The porous zone in fluent will represent a solid zone with fluid in it. Its been a while, but you have define certain aspects that let fluent carry out the solution.

Thanks for reply..
My problem is water jet pass though the sand (porous zone) and hitting the wall of pipe. however, when i water jet towards pipe, my result not show any sand hitting causes erosion on the wall. and how to plot wall thickness after the erosion?
