hi,
I develop a program using Finite Volume Method(FVM). I need implement the pressure-inlet boundary conditions. Who knows,or has the source code about pressure-inlet for FVM? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks! Yang |

Hi !!
first derivative of pressure normal to the boundary equals to zero. (\partial p)/ (\partial n)=0 for all boundaries except the outflow. At the outflow specify p=0. With these conditions, you will get the pseudo-pressure. This will, however, not affect the correctness of the velocity field. The actual pressure boundary conditions are complicated, so it is best to use the pseudo-pressure field to compute the velocity field and then solve the pressure Poisson equation to get the actual pressure if, and when, necessary. |

The inlet velocity is usually assumed as time constant. So, the pressure boundary condition on the inlet can be derived from the NSE as, for incompressible flows: gradient_pressure=-rho*g+rho*vieo*Laplacian_velocity
