Im trying to do a simple simulation of heat transfer through a block in a fridge. I have put in a simple mesh using only a corner of the original block for conveniance. I have set the conditions to have convection on the sorrounding faces and heat flux coming from the centre. But when i go to update the project, it is giving me a general error. It says "error updating cell solution in system steady state thermal". I have never used ansys for steady state heat transfer, only for fluid flow. I tried doing the same on the transient thermal setting "simulation" aswell and the same thing happened. If anyone could tell me what i am doing wrong or whether i should be using a different simulation option within Ansys it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks |
