I want to perform the postprocess about the CFD data, but i do not know the data format of the GNUPLOT! or can it plot contour or vector!

I am wandering is there a gook postprocess software like tecplot under windows in the linux system?

I know the paraview, but i do not its data format?

Re: how to plot contour or vector with "GNUPLOT"

Well, GNUPLOT is really a nice software to plot simple things but, I guess, it's not the right choice when talking about post processing CFD data. Otherwise, visualization software like ParaView, Ensight, TecPlot, MayaVI, VisIt, etc... have support for a bunch of file formats ranging from simple raw data to very powerfull parallel formats.

Take a look at http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaVie...iew_support.3F and choose a file format to learn about. I'd suggest the Ensight's format, for me, it's the easiest format among those supported by PV. I've put some PV stuffs available to download at http://www.nacad.ufrj.br/~rnelias/paraview/

Cheers

Renato.
