Hi,
Does anyone know what the advantage is of a panel method with let's say, sources and doublets in stead of a pure vortex lattice method. Are there some general well known advantages or drawbacks for either of those potential methods? Thanks, Gerrit |

Vortex lattice does not model thickness, and all bodies are lifting bodies. So for example a basic vortex lattice method cant study the influence of an airplane body on the wings efficiency.
A vortex lattice if very easy to implement. A panel code a bit more difficult. |
