I know this is a CFD forum but I figured I'd try asking if there are some good intro level MHD numerical analysis books out there?

I frequently refer to the book, "An Introduction to Magnetohydrodynamics" by P. A. Davidson (Cambridge Texts in Applied Mathematics). It is easy to understand and not very expensive. Also see Chap. 19 of "Finite Element Methods for Incompressible Flows, A Guide to Theory, Practice & Algorithms" by Max Gunsburger, Academic Press, 1989.

Chapter 19 is interesting and also very deep in math. Unfortunately they cut short of discussing plasmas and talk about liquid metals instead. I wish there was a book similar to Versteeg's intro book 2nd edition. That would be the best way to explain MHD numerically.
