Default Bluff body in converging/diverging channel

Hi,

Does anyone know how does a mean pressure gradient affect properties of the eddy behind a bluff body? For example, if a 2D cylinder is placed on the centerline of a 2D diffuser at the point where the velocity in the absense of the cylinder is fixed, how does the eddy length depend on the diffuser angle?

Any data, experimental or numerical, laminar or turbulent, would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Sergei
