how to produce nice plots
How can I produce publication quality plots that show a variation of a flow quantity at different cross-sections from CFD result? You know those plots commonly used in papers to show Reynolds stress or velocity variations over a hill, diffuser etc. Is it Fluent that produces such plots or do I have to post-process resulsts with matlab for instance? I tried to use matlab, but my problem is how to draw the hill or other complex surface over the plots.

The post-processing in Fluent is rather painful.
I prefer ParaView for more sophisticated post-processing operations. |

Thank you both. I don't have tecplot right now but I have paraview. I know how to do vector plots of velocity but I don't think it is possible to control horizontal spacing, change type of arrow head, or add other data set from experiment for comparison etc. Maybe Tecplot can do it but I would appreciate it very much if someone gives a link to a tutorial of doing that in any software.
