some confusion about the Galerkin principle
Let R represent a residiual of a partial differential equation in a two dimensional plat pipe, take steady convection-diffusino equation for example. we now apply the Galerkin which enforce the residual R to be orthogonal to each of the Basis function on in the y direction, integral( R*phi,y=0..1)dy now i want to apply the same procedure to the same problem in a pipi , i.e. two dimension axissysmetry system,
integral(R*phi,r=0..1) r dr i am very confused about whether the "r" should included in the above equation.
