How about writing a code for simulating unsteady transonic flow over a 3D compressor cascade using unstructured grids ?

You can make it more interesting by including the effects of turbulence, chemical reactions, nonequilibrium, seperation, radiation, shocklets and plasma effects. Dont just extrude a 2D blade along z axis, make it twisted. Including fluid-structure interactions would be a plus.

I am sure if you do this, it will ensure at least a B in your course.
