Hi,

I am trying to use NASA-VOF for liquid sloshing in a curved bottom tank. If someone knows how the curved boundary could be introduced for NASA-VOF, please let me know.

Thanks MOR

If you can find NASA-VOF/2D or NASA-VOF/3D,

they have a partial cell representation built in that allows curved boundaries. This is the technique developed by C. W. Hirt. In its most modern form, it's in Flow-3d (www.flow3d.com) and is called

FAVOR (Fractional Area Volume Obstacle Representation) a trade-marked name.

The use is explained in the Los Alamos documents for the codes.

To find these codes, try the Los Alamos web site (www.lanl.gov) first.

I wasn't aware that there was a NASA-VOF code without the 2D or 3D tacked onto the name.
